What I Do

I produce & perform electronic music under the name “The Velvet Shadow“. I also enjoy sharing resources for electronic music production, specialising in Ableton Live tutorials, free sample packs, and industry insights. I strongly believe that music shouldn’t be limited by your budget or access to expensive resources.

Manchester Electronic Music Scene

Beyond my online presence, I’m deeply rooted in Manchester’s vibrant electronic music scene. I’m a founding member of the Manchester Electronic Collective (MEC), where we:

• Host “Bleep” – a monthly open mic night for electronic musicians – You can apply to play here.
• Run the Manchester Producers Playground – facilitating connections between local artists
• Collaborate with Manchester’s studios, venues, and electronic music events
• Maintain active connections with the Manchester Ableton User Group

This grassroots scene helps connect real producers facing the challenges of making, recording, preforming and publishing their music. Never under estimate a bit of Comminity support 🙂
